Review of Pact Coffee
Pact Coffee aims to get the UK drinking better coffee by making incredible, freshly roasted coffee accessible to everyone. It delivers freshly roasted coffee to its subscribers all over the UK. Their world-class beans are bought from dedicated farmers, roasted in small batches at Pact Headquarters in Bermondsey to ensure the very optimum quality, and shipped within 7 days from roasting. Pact coffee isn’t ground until the last possible moment and sealed in special valve bags to keep coffee fresher for longer before being sent straight to fellow coffee lovers to enjoy. Coffee is also ground to suit the coffee machine the subscriber uses.
Pact Coffee was launched to make sure that their customers never run out of coffee. But since coffee tastes best when it’s fresh, Pact roasts its coffee in small batches, sends within a week of being roasted, and, if preferred, grinds the same day they’re sent out. This will ensure that the coffee received by its subscribers has the optimal flavour.
To sign up for a subscription, the potential members will be asked about the type of coffee machine they are using, whether they prefer to receive whole or pre-ground beans, the kind of coffee drinker they are, whether a daily drinker or a weekend indulger, whether they take milk and sugar with their coffee, whether they want to receive decaffeinated coffee, and whether they feel adventurous and prefer to receive a different coffee every time or would like to play it safe and stick with their favourite. The site will then suggest a coffee for the subscriber to try, with detailed description and the country and farm from which it originated. The subscriber will also be shown other coffee options if they prefer something other than the one suggested. The chosen coffee will then be sent to the subscriber.
Each bag of Pact coffee costs £6.95, and members are charged with the amount either weekly or bi-monthly. Pact Coffee has a flexible subscription plan. Members can cancel any time, change their delivery frequency, skip a bag, order extra bags, and even take a coffee break if they’re going away or want to take a month off the caffeine. Also, members will be sent an email at least 24 hours before sending out their coffee to give them a chance to cancel the delivery. Pact Coffee also offers a 100% refund if a member ever gets a coffee they don’t want or like.
Pact Coffee also offers various Coffee Kits which can be sent out as gifts. These bundles include three bags of fresh Pact coffee, a charming tea towel, a snazzy coffee-lovers mug, a getting-started guide, and either a Hario V60 Drip Filter, an Aeropress, a Grunwerg Cafetiere, or a Bialetti Moka Pot.
If you only ever sign up to one subscription and you love coffee then this has to be it. The packaging is well thought out, tasting notes are accurate, the coffee itself is tremendous (as long you pick the right one for your preferred method and taste - but their website helps with all of that). Give it a try and I promise you won't be disappointed
